About Our School

Peak to Peak Paragliding is committed to providing the highest quality paragliding instruction, and producing competent pilots who are safe and careful in their decision-making. The school also plans to provide special courses oriented toward the needs of women pilots. While some Colorado schools focus on equipment sales and tandem flights, Peak to Peak Paragliding focuses on TEACHING the student pilot and producing the best pilots possible. We take all the time needed to educate the pilot properly and prepare them for flying safely on their own.

Peak to Peak Paragliding is the only local school that has it’s own payout towing winch that will allow students and rated pilots to be towed to 3000 or 4000 feet above the ground to get the most airtime for their investment. This is particularly helpful during the colder months of the year when flying on the Front Range of Colordado is limited due to the weather conditions. Kay Tauscher has been flying for over a decade and provides Peak to Peak’s instruction. She is a U.S. Hang Gliding Association (USHGA) advanced instructor and tandem pilot, and a member of the Nova Pilots Team based out of Germany. She is one of only a handful of female instructors and tandem pilots in the nation and prides herself on patient, positive, hands-on instruction on the hill, with limited time spent in the classroom. Kay learned to fly in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and prides herself on Peak to Peak’s EXCELLENT safety record both for new students and tandem flights.
