The Introductory Paragliding Class
The introductory Class is for individuals who wish to learn to paraglide solo. It is the first step for those who would like to try out the sport without a large commitment of time and money. Completion of this course does not earn an USHPA rating. Therefore, you are not able to fly without further instruction or until completion of the Combined P1/P2 Course (a subsequent class).
Peak to Peak Paragliding provides the very highest quality paragliding instruction, with an emphasis on paragliding safety & the details of flying. The class is very detail oriented to give the pilot the strongest foundation for their future learning.
You may use our gear for this course if needed, but we do encourage you to buy your own gear (THROUGH Peak to Peak Paragliding) whether new or used as soon as possible for your own benefit. Students who buy their own gear tend to: show up more frequently, practice more often, be more comfortable in the air and progress at a significantly faster pace of learning. This we know from years and years of experience. If interested in GEAR & LESSON PACKAGES, explore those links.
Those individuals who already know they are ready to learn and complete the entire Paragliding Novice Course will want to sign up for the entire Combined Beginner/Novice Course or one of the Gear and Classes Packages offered by Peak to Peak Paragliding.
Our Teaching Philosophy
Peak to Peak Paragliding focuses on the safety and competency of the pilot and beginners learn at different speeds. So this course is designed to get most individuals through their first 4 flights and basic skills. However if the instructor feels you need more sessions to complete the course you may be asked to sign up for the P2 class or pay for the additional sessions on a per session basis. We will not rush you; we want you to be ready to fly when you fly. We also do our best to make every day fun as well as educational.
